Abstract: In this paper an overview of the general process and important design factors of UWB Microwave Imaging is given for medical purposes, and the feasibility of its application in the context of COVID-19 detection is discussed in brief. The recent research into COVID-19 detection using other imaging technologies are reviewed for the sake of comparison, and the research limitations for employing UWB imaging for the same goal with acceptable results are identified.
