BIZTECH 4.0 Digital Poster Contest

Abstract

The Department of Management Information Systems and Human Resource Management, of the Faculty of Business Administration, American International University – Bangladesh (AIIB) organized BizTech 4.0 on 21st and 22nd June 2023 at AIUB premises. The two-day long event encompassed multidisciplinary events to instill managerial and leadership skills in the students. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Group Captain (Retd) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean [FASS], Dr. ABM Rahmatullah, Associate Dean of FASS, Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of MBA Program, Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of BBA Program and Mr. Danilo G. Morgia, Director, IT Operations, AIUB, inaugurated BizTech 4.0. A Digital Poster Competition was organized as part of BizTech 4.0 event. Students from Computing and Business Applications and Management Information Systems participated in the Poster contest in groups. They were asked to make posters using any Digital illustration tools such as PowerPoint, photoshop, illustrator, Canva etc. Topics for poster Contest were decided as Application of AI-in Business, Blockchain in Business, IoT in Business, Big Data in Business and MS-Excel is Business. After completion of the poster, students were asked to submit their creations via an online link. All the submitted posters were then uploaded to the official Facebook page of Department of Management Information Systems, where students promoted their own posters for a specific time period. The students were encouraged to continue promoting their posters throughout the contest. At the end of the contest, the students’ groups were awarded based on their content’s highest social media engagement, creativity and ability to portray topics in concise and appropriate manner. The program was organized and coordinated by Mr. Mehzabul Hoque Nahid, Head, Department of Management Information System, and other faculty members Ms. Nazia Farhana, Mr. Jubayer Suhan, Ms. Azmery Sultana with the support from the Office of Students Affairs (OSA) and Administrative Stuff of AIUB.
